Safeguarding Statement

Stockland C of E Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of our pupils and expects all adults working in school, staff and volunteers, to share this commitment. For detailed information please see our Child Protection Policy (see link below).
Sometimes we may need to share information and work with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We ensure that concerns are discussed with parents/carers first unless there is reason to believe that this would be contrary to a child’s welfare.
At Stockland Primary Academy we take the Safeguarding of our Pupils very seriously.
Our Safeguarding Designated Leads are:
-
Miss Bendall, Headteacher DSL
-
Mrs Williams, Lead Teacher DDSL
-
Mrs Wilde, Class 1 Teacher DDSL
If you have a concern about a child, you may consult the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead or deputies who will be able to look into the matter and decide if action is required to ensure the child’s safety and well being.
They can be contacted by Email: admin.stockland@acexcellence.co.uk
or phone Tel: 01404 881456

Operation Encompass
Operation Encompass is a national scheme that operates jointly between schools and all police forces.
Operation Encompass means that our school will be told, prior to the start of the next school day, when police have attended an incident of domestic abuse where there is a child or young person who attends our school who is related to any of those involved in the incident.
We have ensured that our Designated Safeguarding Lead known as a Key Adult and our Deputy Designated Safeguarding leads have been trained about Operation Encompass procedures. This allows us to use the information that has been confidentially shared with us by the police, to understand how a child may be impacted by domestic abuse and to then offer support to the child/ren in our care.
We are keen to offer the very best support possible to all our pupils and we believe that being part of Operation Encompass helps us to do this.
