About Me
​I have been working at Stockland School for 10 years and supporting the school for 14 years as two of my children attended the school. I completed a degree in Acoustic Engineering at Southampton University many, many years ago and worked as a consultant on many varied jobs from designing concert hall acoustics to environmental noise pollution issues.  When my children first started school, I was fascinated with how they learnt and started to work in schools in Southampton on my ‘days off’.  After moving to Devon, I finally changed careers, full time, to teaching with a Maths Specialist PGCE from Exeter University. The opportunity to inspire children to be lifelong learners across all the subject areas in primary school is a challenge I thoroughly enjoy. For my hobbies, I love making music, from singing in Rock Choir to playing the cornet in brass bands. My family life is busy supporting my children in their pursuits and looking after our dogs and cats.
